Event Details

The 10th International Conference on North Korean Human Rights and Refugees is one of the world's largest conferences on the North Korean human rights crisis. Taking place for the first time ever in North America, it welcomes the top policymakers, academics, NGOs to a public forum.

The Saturday conference encompasses topics including: Looking Inside North Korea Today, The Trafficking of Female Refugees, Stateless Children, and How the World is Responding. The conference also features the live testimony of two North Korean refugees who fled their homeland in 2008.

This symposium embodies our objectives for the conference:

1. Promote Awareness: informing the public in hopes they will be motivated to act

2. Act as a “Beginning”: leveraging the opportunity of convening the world’s top stakeholders to use the conference as a springboard for the movement

3. Connect People: facilitating and proactively building networks amongst stakeholders and the public
